The 12-th of April, in Moscow a meeting between WKF president Antonio Espinos and WKF Secretary general George Yerolimpus and the co-president of RUMA and Kyokushin World Union Yuri Trutnev took place. During the talks the issues related to the support of Russia for the inclusion of karate into the Olympic Games' program and the cooperation on the organization of kyokushin karate exhibition tournament during 2nd Sportaccord Games next year in Saint-Petersburg were discussed. WKF leaders agreed to accord the status of "WKF Accredited Competition" (WAC) to this event, provided that all the safety issues are in strict accordance with WKF accredited competitions requirements and IOC principles.
